Break-up With Your Toxic Makeup!

Have you ever read the list of ingredients in your current make-up? You probably haven't but I can assure you that it must be full of unreadable and very toxic chemicals hidden in safe words (yes, fragrance, I'm looking at you!).
I have shifted to the best natural make-up on this planet a year ago. I haven't shared my progress or its performance on my skin during that time because I really wanted to know if it's really the best. If it would really work just like the make-up I bought in the department store.
This. Is. My. First. Time to ever speak about make-up. In my world, we value the Biblical concept of nurturing our inner values and character and to not give too much value in worldly and outward beauty. The men in our life often criticize us for wearing make-up or when we fix our hairs. I'm not saying to give priority on doing and nurturing these things to the point that you're in front of the mirror the whole day BUT if you're a lady who fixes herself up on special occasions (ex. weddings, formal dinners, an invitation from the president?), shouldn't you be fixing yourself more if you're going to the house of the Lord? For me, if not the same, we should at least dress and fix ourselves better when we're going to church, shouldn't we? (But, of course, fix your inner beauty first!)
Okay, enough about that. Why am I even talking about natural make-up, you ask? Well, first of all, I believe with all of my heart that we should properly take care of the physical body God has given to us. By taking care of it, should we put harmful and toxic chemicals IN and ON it?
Some of the worst ingredients you can put in your skin is:
Sulfates
Phthalates
Silicone
Synthetic fragrances
Nanoparticles
Formaldehyde
Oxybenzone
Google them and you would see a plethora of websites telling about its harmful effects in the body.
So, why did I choose Savvy Minerals of Young Living? I have been using their essential oils and I love how they take care (I mean, naturally take care. Like, no harmful chemicals touched the oil) of the plant from the seed up to the way they delivered their products to me. If you want to try their essential oils, click here.
So, when they launched their make-up line, it would be a no-brainer to think that they would be selling the best natural make-up in the world. But I have to admit, I still hesitated. It was expensive AND I don't know if it will work for me. So, I bought one foundation thinking I would just try one and see if how it will work out 'cause if I'm on the road of removing toxic chemicals in my life and make-up should be included in that list.

Oh, and did I mentioned that they package every product in gorgeous boxes?? And when you opened the box, you'll find this cute little note telling you to have confidence without compromise! Love it!
Needless to say, I fell in love with their foundation because I'm still using it a year later. They have 10 shades for any skin tone, so you'll find your match in no time. For every day or barely there make-up, I usually just dip my kabuki brush in the powder, swirl it in the lid then tap, tap, tap and brush it in my face. All done! Have I mentioned that it has cut my make-up time in half the time I usually spent fixing myself? If ever I need a more full coverage, I would use Savvy Mineral's Misting Spray. I would spray it in my brush and just do the same process of dip, swirl and tap, tap, tap!

Savvy Mineral's Misting Spray is gold in natural make-up! Spray it in your brushes before using it and you'll get full coverage. Spray it in your face after applying make-up and you'll have make-up the whole day!

Another thing I frequently used is Savvy Mineral's Multitasker! My eyebrow liner is the hardest to let go but I found my match in this Multitasker.

I hardly ever use mascara. It was reserved for special occasions because I know most mascara in the market contains coal tar to give that inky black color. And we don't want that ingredient near our eyes, I assure you. Savvy Mineral's mascara not only contains natural ingredients but it includes Lavender essential oil to nourish your eyelashes. But wait, there's more! Young Living doesn't market it as waterproof and smudge-proof but it never leaked on me. And I want to tell you that I live in a very humid and tropical country.

I'm not a lipstick person (I'm more of a lip gloss person), but Savvy Minerals also have beautiful shades of lipstick that are infused with essential oils. Currently, they have the Tangerine-infused line and the Cinnamint-infused line of lipsticks.

For lipglossers, like me, Savvy Minerals have amazing colors of lipgloss!! Each lipgloss of Savvy Minerals is infused with Peppermint essential oil that provides natural plumping of your lips! Of course, it is made with natural ingredients so you can be sure that it doesn't contain any parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, bismuth, talc, synthetic fragrances, or synthetic colorants.

Lastly, Savvy Minerals make-up brushes is the bomb in applying the foundations and the Multitasker? I got their Essential Brush Set and it contains all the brushes that you need and that's only 5 pieces. It has a Foundation brush, Blush brush, Veil brush, Blending brush, and Eyeshadow brush. It is vegan-friendly and very soft on the skin.

And it comes in a very cute carrying case!

They still have a lot of products in their line but I just couldn't fit everything in here. You can read and buy all of their products here!
