Young Living Philippines has recently added Helichrysum essential oil to its roster of products.
Finally, we have this amazing essential oil in our country. But what is Helichrysum, why is it called the Everlasting Flower, and why is it freakingly expensive?
It is called the Everlasting Flower because the flowers of the plant keep their bright yellow color even when dried. It is a member of the sunflower family and grows mainly in Africa, the Mediterranean, Croatia, and Spain. It also has a honey-like fragrance that some may find to be cloyingly sweet.
So why is it expensive? Helichrysum has tiny flowers. Tiny flowers mean tiny yields of essential oil. Young Living's steam distillation of this plant doesn't produce a lot of essential oils. And because Young Living is a sustainable company, they make sure they're not depleting the source of each oil they distill. They transplanted rocks to their helichrysum farm to replicate the plant's natural growing condition.

Ingredients:
30 drops Frankincense essential oil
20 drops Helichrysum essential oil
10 drops Lavender essential oil
Combine all the essential oils in the roller bottle. Let it sit for 24 hours to create a synergy effect. After 24 hours, top it off with fractionated coconut oil or argan oil. Roll on face after cleansing
